Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor, Administrative Director and the Medical Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing direct clinical care to employees under standardized procedures and for participating in Occupational Health programs such as medical surveillance, outbreak and exposure response.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% – 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year Occupational Health RN experience in a clinical setting
• Recent (within 6 months) experience taking triage calls as related specifically to (musculoskeletal, psychological and exposure) workplace injuries, performing pre-employment physicals, compliance documentation management, experience with COVID vaccine exception requests, required occupational vaccine administration and PPD placements
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
• Proficient use of Smartsheet Application
• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• COHN or COHN-S Certification
• Public Health Nurse
• Advanced Nursing Degree

License/Certification

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
