Description

Spherion is hiring an Estimator for a local supply company The ideal candidate will be a person that loves to get the right answer, very organized, task-oriented and very detail oriented.

The Estimator will be responsible for reviewing architectural plans and doing take-offs to cost material, then price to general contractors in a competitive situation, seeking contracts.

Responsibilities:
Generate estimates/bids to be submitted to contractors for potential future construction projects.
Reading and interpreting floor plans and architectural specifications.
Entering requirements from the plans and specifications into our software.
Verify all scheduled material matches/meets the plans and specifications for the project.
Verify all pricing of scheduled materials is correct and obtain quotations if not correct.
Generating submittals from the data in the software.
Requesting revised quotes for the materials used.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Sitting at a desk for the duration of the shift.
Must be comfortable reviewing architectural plans and dealing with general contractors.
Communication Skills

Education:
High School

Experience:

0-1 years

Qualifications:
Work experience in an office environment.
Must be very attentive to detail.
Skilled on computers.
MUST have a valid drivers license.
HSD or GED
