Job Summary:
Nova Kids First, a growing pediatric office, is expanding its services to include adults ages 18 and above.

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) needed, is a licensed, advanced practice registered nurse, who provides comprehensive primary care to individuals and families.

Comprehensive care is of utmost concern to us, along with care and concern for the patient's well being. Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers in our office. Full time, or part time. Be able to see 18-23 patients per day, children ages 0-18 and adults. More are discussed at the interview.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive health assessments, including obtaining medical histories, conducting physical exams, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests
Diagnose and manage common acute conditions such as infections, injuries, and illnesses
Manage chronic diseases including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and arthritis, among others
Provide preventive care services such as routine physicals, immunizations, cancer screenings, and counseling on healthy lifestyle behaviors
Prescribe appropriate medications and other treatment modalities within the scope of practice
Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care
Document patient encounters and maintain accurate, detailed electronic medical records
Engage patients in shared decisionmaking and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide patient education on disease processes, medications, and selfmanagement strategies
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidencebased practice to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

Master's degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nursing program
Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Minimum of 23 years of experience as a family care nurse practitioner, registered nurse with credentials and licenses, preferably in a primary care or family medicine setting
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficient in using electronic health record systems
Commitment to providing highquality, patientcentered care
Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred but not necessary.
