Job Description Summary

Under the guidance and supervision of the AVP of Strategic Marketing and Communications, the


Creative Services Development Specialist is responsible for the creation and production of video, digital photography, and multimedia content that share powerful stories and shape the narrative of the University of La Verne.

Working within the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications, this position develops original and innovative videos, images, and other visual storytelling assets to support the recruitment, retention, and reputation of the university; consistently delivering high-quality assets that adhere to the university brand standards.

These visual assets will be used in recruitment marketing and brand awareness campaigns across a

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/GED
  • CA Drivers License
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media production, journalism,
film/television production, photography, or related field

  • 3 years of experience in digital photography or digital video production within marketing,
advertising, news media, or creative agency

  • Solid to advanced skills in digital photography and video production, digital image processing and editing, video editing, and web production.
  • Thorough knowledge of composition, lighting, production techniques, audio and camera equipment.
  • Working knowledge of tools for creating multimedia products delivered via a variety of
channels.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate projects, production, and maintain image database.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Davinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects are recommended.
Strong passion for and knowledge of technology, emerging media, storytelling techniques,
and interactive strategy.

Duties


Specific Duties

  • Photography: Capture still photography per assignment. Photography
- assignments could include portraits, environmental portraits, candid or photojournalism
- style, sports, stock, event photography, studio or staged photography.

  • Ad hoc photography documenting key events, staff portraits, and moments in
- campus life, including academic, athletic, social, and extracurricular life on the La
