- Identifies and articulates the vision and strategic direction for the discipline of Nursing and collaborates on the implementation of strategies to achieve them.
- Plan, prepare, and implement capital and expense budgets in compliance with organization standards.
- Ensure that adequate and appropriate levels of supply inventory are available.
- Provides leadership and direction for the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, retention, and recognition of excellence in Nursing.
- Ensures the productive operations of all departments within area of responsibility.
- Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and services.
- Provides leadership in the establishment of credentialing/privileging policies for nurses and ensures compliance with such policies for nurses who practice.
- Identify, recommend and implement performance & quality improvement activities for the nursing departments.
- Oversees programs which support the nursing profession such as Clinical Ladders and the Nursing Internship Programs.
- Promotes and fosters a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, and the coordination of care among disciplines.
- Possess Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business.
- Minimum of 10 years of nursing leadership experience.
