WILL TRAIN

Position Description:
Chemical Mixer/Blender is responsible for mixing raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets. No previous experience mixing/blending chemicals is necessary. We will train on-the-job.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets up and start all mixing tanks and blenders.
• Add chemicals into mixing vessels. Pump and pour chemicals into blend tanks in predetermined quantities.
• Operates equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.), moves bags and drums of chemicals safely and according to policies when applicable.
• Monitors raw material usage on each blend and ensures they are added correctly with accurate weights.
• Follows the chemical formula instruction sheet.
• Properly dispenses chemicals into packaging for shipment.
• Ensures all raw materials are returned to inventory in their rightful location.
• Ensures inventory has the right quantity and correct information on containers.
• Monitors containers ensuring they are in good condition.
• Cleans equipment as needed.
• Refers issues/problems to the lead/supervisor.
• Communicates with material handlers and packers when materials are needed.
• Completes all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.
• Observes and follows safety requirements as set forth by the company.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety, rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc.
• Able to manipulate 55 gallon drums of chemicals.
• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must be able to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements.
• Able to manipulate powder bags up to 100 lbs.
• Good troubleshooting skills

Preferred

Ability to drive forklift and have forklift certification

$18.50 per hour
