Location: On-site in Scottsdale, AZ – Mastermind HQ
Compensation: $80,000 base salary + performance-based team incentives (OTE $170,000–$200,000+, based on team execution)
Reports to: Director of Sales
OVERVIEW
Mastermind is seeking a seasoned, psychologically sharp Sales Manager to lead our high-performing Sales Setter team of 14+ Setters. This role reports directly to the Director of Sales and plays a critical role in driving revenue for high-ticket, B2C, transformation-oriented offers.
The Sales Manager position is a high-impact leadership role for a sales leader who thrives in fast-moving, dynamic environments and understands that Mastermind sales are emotion-driven, identity-driven, and transformation-oriented.
This role is designed for a senior B2C performance leader who understands how small improvements in skill, tonality, and standards compound across a 13–14 person team into meaningful revenue growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role focuses on leading, coaching, and scaling a team of high-performing Sales Setters (SDRs) in a fast-paced, outbound sales environment.
As our Sales Manager, you will ensure the team meets and exceeds KPIs by operating as a firm, culture aligned, present leader who drives accountability, emotional mastery, and consistent execution—especially through periods of rapid change, new offers, and product launches.
The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in sales psychology, call review coaching, and standards enforcement—and knows how to move people emotionally, not just close deals.
- Lead & Develop: Manage and lead a team of 14+ High-Ticket SalesSetters to hit performance standards and KPIs. Establish and uphold clear expectations around behavior, effort, and execution in a high-accountability environment.
- Drive Performance: Increase consistent monthly production across the team by lifting mid-level reps into reliable top-tier performance through structured coaching, tonality refinement, and qualification discipline.
- Coach Through Call Reviews: Own call reviews as a core operating discipline. Break down calls to coach tonality, emotional control, certainty, urgency, and buyer psychology. Use call reviews not only as the primary lever to elevate individual and team performance, but to build sales rep confidence, belief, and emotional mastery through precise, repeatable coaching.
- Coach Belief, Certainty & Urgency: Train Setters to confidently guide prospects through emotionally-driven decisions. Coach reps on how to address resistance, reframe hesitation, and help buyers move forward with clarity and conviction.
- Enforce Standards: Hold firm standards around activity, execution, and mindset. Redirect complaints into ownership and action, and address underperformance directly and consistently.
- Adapt & Lead Through Change: Re-attune the team quickly through new offers, messaging shifts, and product launches. Maintain momentum and clarity in a startup-style, fast-changing environment.

- Psychological Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of buyer psychology, emotional drivers, and identity-based decision-making.
- Developer of People: Takes pride in watching reps level up—using pressure, feedback, and high standards to build resilient, confident sales professionals.
- Standards-Driven Leader: Comfortable holding firm expectations, challenging excuses, and enforcing standards while developing people.
- Direct Sales Background: Prior experience as a Setter, Closer, or front-line salesperson in consumer-focused, high-pressure sales environments.
- Dynamic Environment Fit: Thrives in fast-paced, startup-style organizations with frequent change, evolving offers, and high performance expectations.
- Systems-Oriented: Proficient in CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot) and performance data—but prioritizes people, calls, and coaching over dashboards.
- Revenue-Minded Operator: Thinks in performance, understands how coaching frameworks and call-level improvements compound across a team, and is motivated by performance-leveraged compensation.
- On-Site Requirement: Must be based in Phoenix, AZ, and available to work on-site at Mastermind HQ in Scottsdale.
