Facilities Technician
Full Time (Monday-Friday, occasional nights & weekends)
Pay rate:
$20.75/hour

The Facilities Technician will perform a variety of skilled work in all areas of facility maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, heating, and ventilation, as well as perform all janitorial duties, including cleaning and maintaining restrooms, offices, windows, floors, walls, etc.
The Facilities Technician will be expected to:
- Safely use routine equipment such as (but not limited to) power tools, cleaning products, ladders, paint supplies.
- Possess the ability to communicate clearly with staff and management alike.
- Possess organization and scheduling skills, and be able to work unsupervised.
- Inspect, maintain and repair plumbing, heating, water, sewer and drainage systems and related equipment, as well as HVAC systems and components.
- Accomplish building alterations and repair work including drywall, carpentry, painting, and other miscellaneous construction tasks.
- Completes miscellaneous skilled and semiskilled tasks as required.
- Possess the ability to work well with others as well as function independently.
- Comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all Center policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including but not limited to employment, safety and health.
- Provide quality service in maintaining Center buildings.
- Dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
- Perform setup and take down of Center events and meeting facilities.
Position Requirements for Facilities Technician:
Our Facilities Technician must demonstrate ability to work effectively with others (including co-workers, customers, and others) by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; and addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
The Facilities Technician must possess two years of increasingly responsible experience, with a solid understanding of fundamental building repair and maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of the methods, materials tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds.
Experience in one or more of the following specific trades is highly preferred: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, metalworking, tile setting, painting and wall finishes, drywall, automotive/small engine repair.
