    Description
    Detailed Job Description – Design Engineer Position Title: Design Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Job Description: The design engineer position will be responsible for computer-based robotics application design and development. Design engineer will be involved in installation and configuration, customization of application and functional testing of 3-D printing applications. Some of the duties but not limiting to are detailed below: Responsibilities:
    • Participate in process flow analysis and design with end clients.
    • Analyze and test existing products to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop designs to meet cost, quality, and manufacturing schedule.
    • Expand principles of tool design and related technologies to mechanical systems design to improve functionality and manufacturability.
    • Develop and build prototypes and test functionality, iterations, and analytics.
    • Perform computer simulations and develop virtual experiment environment.
    • Influence working relationships within cross-functional teams.
    • Assess design for product safety.
    • Support programming staff in preparing detailed machine program from the diagrams and flow charts prepared by the systems staff.
    • Analyze latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business is required.
    • Exposure to Solid Works or AutoCAD is a plus.
