    We are looking for a Design/Technical Services Engineer in our Columbus, Ohio office

    Summary:

    Assists the organizations internal and external customers regarding all technical inquiries involving product properties, product application, and performance.

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Duties:

    • Communicate directly with Architects, Specifiers, General/Sub-contractors, and Project Owners regarding performance and implementation of Kingspan panel products.
    • Communicate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments regarding technical product and application information.
    • Perform preliminary building engineering analyses including structural (wind load, seismic, etc), environmental (thermal, moisture, etc.), and other application requirements.
    • Analyze, and communicate principles of building envelope science (i.e. vapor, moisture, thermal, air movement, rain-screen concepts, etc.) and ability to communicate these principles to other parties.
    • Understand and communicate North American building regulations including structural codes, energy codes, testing, and certification standards.
    • Develop/modify installation details for non-standard conditions.
    • Assist with preparation of project submittals.
    • Assist with product development.
    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical engineering.
    • Read and understand architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
    • Experienced with AutoCAD or Revit drawing programs.

    Other Skills and Requirements:

    • A valid passport and ability to travel.
    • Be self-motivated and capable of handling multiple projects.
    • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
    • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Good spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
