- Perform all task of a Level 1
- Complete Discrepant Material Report (DMR) forms for rejected parts
- Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents
- Developing and implementing quality control procedures
- Basic CMM alignment & manual CMM measurements
- Can do basic GDT measurements (run-out, flatness, and true position) utilizing mathematic calculation using a height gage or manual CMM.
- Perform surface plate and comparator setups
- Troubleshoots some of the CMM outages that occur.
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T
- CMM operation required
- Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standards
- Visual cosmetic inspection experience required
- Supervisory experience a plus
- CMM programming desired
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner is essential
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Semi-independent; can work with limited supervision and direction

SUMMARY
The QA Mechanical Inspector II uses metrology equipment and GD&T knowledge to compliance with industry standards, regulations and customer specifications. Responsibilities also include writing nonconformance reports, process transactions in the ERP system, and continually improving the inspection process.
