- Operating assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support daily farm activities.
- Field Operations - operate tractors, forklift and implements to perform required field tasks.
- Harvest Operations- Moving seed using hand-held rake or blower, removing branches or brush in rows to facilitate harvest of seed in the field.
- Field Prep (discing, bed shaping, etc).
- Troubleshooting equipment issues in field to minimize downtime.
- Completing daily paperwork on field tasks.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience operating a tractor, or other similar farm equipment.
- Experience with disc, blower, and other field implements is preferred.
- Prior experience working as farm labor.
- Fixed crop experience is preferred.
- Must be able to apply good safety practice.
- Able to wear of personal protective equipment to meet health and safety criteria.
- Ability to complete daily field documentation.
- Ability to climb in and out of tractor/heavy equipment, as needed.
- Willingness to work exposed to outdoor ambient temperatures ranging from 45F in the winter to 118F in the summer.
- Must have flexibility to work any other shifts and be able to work overtime as required.
