Position Title (Classification Title): Environmental Services Technician (OPS)

Working Title: Environmental Services Technician

Job Summary: Unlock assigned building, clean, service, and disinfect restrooms, lounges, E-Classrooms, , public entrances, stairways and other areas as assigned by supervision. Work performed to APPA standards as directed. Tasks are usually performed alone during a shift, but can at times be strenuous and may require teamwork. Receives direct supervision from the Senior Environmental Services Supervisor and work/project coordination from the Environmental Services Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of the ninth grade.

Position Qualifications: Completion of the ninth grade.

Preferred Qualifications Custodial service experience at a large business/institution.

Physical Demands:

Physical Requirements: Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more disagreeable environmental factors, such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., with often to the point of being objectionable.
Impact of Deadlines: Routine deadlines. Usually sufficient lead time. Variance in work volume, seasonal, and predictable. Priorities can be anticipated. Some interruptions are present. Involves occasional exposure to demands/pressures from persons other than immediate sup.
