The Business Services Specialist of Marquette University Press is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Marquette University Press, a scholarly book publishing house specializing in the humanities with emphasis on Philosophy and Theology.

Duties include production, sales, distribution, and inventory management of titles as well as overseeing the warehouse and sales fulfillment center.

Maintain responsibility for the accounting functions including budget planning, receivables and payables.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's or vocational/ technical school degree preferably in accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of MAC operating system, Microsoft office, especially Excel, and Adobe Pro
  • Basic understanding of social media
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently
  • Strong analytic capability and math aptitude
  • Ability to problem solve under pressure
  • Ability to build effective relationships.
