    Quality Technician


    About the Job:
    Join our team as a Quality Technician at The Diez Group, an award-winning supplier in the automotive industry. As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards and ensuring on-time delivery of top-notch products to our customers. We are currently looking for a Quality Technician to join our location in Dearborn, MI.

    Responsibilities:
    - Assist in maintaining the Document Control System, updating internal documentation for ISO 14001 and IATF 16949
    - Conduct audits to ensure effectiveness in containment, sorting, and rework methods
    - Monitor and control process conditions for product consistency
    - Verify parts visually, mechanically, and functionally to meet quality standards
    - Support APQP & PPAP activities
    - Train personnel on compliance with procedures
    - Drive continuous improvement using FMEA and 5S tools
    - Ensure product and process changes follow specified activities
    - Maintain press books and specifications
    - Update shift scorecards and publish required information
    - Enter feed forward information from steel mills
    - Perform other assigned duties


    Requirements:
    - High School diploma or equivalent required
    - Associate degree preferred in a related field
    - Quality experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
    - Knowledge of IATF, ISO, Document Control, and Quality Management Systems
    - Auditing experience is beneficial
    - Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
    - Flexibility for shifts and overtime
    - Interpersonal skills and employee coaching abilities
    - Leadership and staff development skills
    - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    - Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and containment processes
    - Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    - Adherence to attendance policies
