Minimum Qualifications:


High school diploma or GED; college coursework in business administration or a related field preferred; four years of experience in customer service, including one year of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service; of standard office practices and procedures.

Ability to exercise tact and independent judgment in dealing with the public; to perform mathematical calculations; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers; to supervise staff.


Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Duties:


  • Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in supervising and participating in the work of staff engaged in providing customer service and collecting of property tax payments and other County payments.
  • The Customer Service Supervisor also:
  • Supervises, trains, evaluates and participates in the work of customer service staff
  • Plans and monitors the daytoday activities of a customer service operation
  • Investigates and resolves escalated and difficult account issues and/or customer service complaints
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and work standards; monitors work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Supervises cashiering functions to include the review of cash receipts, bank totals and ledger entries; oversees the preparation of the daily bank deposit
  • Interprets and explains policies and procedures to staff and the public
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records, correspondence and reports related to operational activities
  • Opens and closes the vault in the absence of the Deputy Treasurer; performs the daily count of change fund in the vault
Perform other work as required.


Shift:

Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
