About the Team
Finance BP and Business FP&A are sub-departments of Finance.

It aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and management reports.

About the Role

As the FP&A manager at ByteDance, and part of the Global finance team, you will be empowered to be the key contributor to ByteDance's continuing success in the NA region.

This role is based out of our LA office.

The new hire will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and act as a strategic partner to key global functions such as content partnership, operations, and marketing.

You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing financial processes.

You will be a key member of the finance team, working closely with other finance business partners, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

Carry out the financial planning process of the NA/Global operations business: develop shortterm and longterm budget plans, monitor budget and inform business leaders on trends, update the budget and financial forecasts periodically
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive business growth and improvement
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decisionmaking processes
Prepare and present financial reports and preparations to key stakeholders and senior management in the region
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure financial alignment with company goals and regional marketspecific initiatives
Stay uptodate on the global business landscape and market trends to identify financial opportunities and risks
Mentor a team of finance business partners

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in financial management, preferably in content, media, or a highgrowth tech company
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in financial software and tools

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with SQL and advanced experience in using Microsoft Office Package and experience with EBS/SAP is a plus
Experience working across various locations/timezones and global organizations
Knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS rules, and SOX compliance
Experience with financial modeling and process improvement
MBA/CPA is a plus
