Responsibilities:

Provides professional, competent, safe, appropriate direct patient care in the collection of blood samples from patients age newborn and older; management of all documentation related to blood collection, management of communication between the Laboratory and ancillary and off campus sites, both verbal and hardcopy documents, manages the registration process and transfer of information for outpatient and off campus.

Maintains a professional, cooperative interaction with all hospital departments, medical staff, and the public in keeping with the mission and philosophy of Manatee Memorial Hospital.

Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

About Universal Health Services

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred)
Excellent communication skills

Phlebotomy National Certification or Eligible (Must be obtained within 1 year of employment)

Computer skills
