Hanover Foods Corporation located in Hanover PA is currently seeking a Sanitation A position on [ ENTER SHIFT ] shift.

This position is primarily responsible to for carrying out specific projects in Sanitation in the Freezer as directed by the Supervisor and/or the Sanitation Leadperson to ensure the areas of responsibility are properly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the Company USDA standards.


Primary responsibilities

  • Cleans all food processing equipment and production areas involved in the Freezer in accordance with USDA sanitation techniques and procedures

  • Immediately reports any mechanical or safety problems to Supervisor or Leadperson
  • Adheres to common safety practices and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required
  • Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  • Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds as required
  • Ensures safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks and all industrial man lifts
  • Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, safety, food security, plant security, etc
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Leadperson.

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to record data onto a spreadsheet
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to work in all environments
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
