- Collaborate with licensed genetic counselors, physicians, and the Medical Director to deliver comprehensive genetic healthcare services.
- Perform clinical assessments and evaluations for patients seeking genetic testing and counseling in diverse genetic specialties.
- Order and interpret genetic tests in collaboration with licensed genetic counselors, providing thorough counseling and education to patients and families regarding test results and implications.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and recommendations based on genetic testing results in collaboration with the medical team.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary case conferences to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay abreast of advancements in genetic medicine, contributing to the development and refinement of clinical protocols and best practices within the department.
- Engage in patient outreach and education initiatives to promote genetic awareness and preventive healthcare in the community.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documentation, and reporting in compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) degree/certification.
- Strong interest in genetics and a passion for advancing knowledge and practice in Precision Medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively counsel and educate patients and families on genetic concepts.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the field of genetic medicine.
- Experience in clinical genetics or related fields preferred, but not required. Training and mentorship will be provided and is an expected component of the role.
