Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the English Language.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to use personal computers and software to develop spreadsheets and databases.
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records.
- Ability to work with numbers accurately and rapidly to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience_: Minimum two years of payroll accounting experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in training provided inside and outside of the district to improve job performance as it relates to district and state guidelines.
Finance/Data Entry
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks including simple arithmetic operations for the department.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests using Skyward Business.
- Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment.
- Input budget data into the computer system, maintaining accurate records and generating reports as needed.
- Follow all district policies and procedures as it relates to budget management.
Payroll Processing:
- Maintain referee time & payroll records to process payments promptly.
- Responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees, and ensuring timely and correct payments.
- Follow all district policies and procedures as it relates to payroll processing.
- Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports; compile information and submit to the central office via AESOP, etc.
Records/Reports
- Maintain physical and computerized files including payroll records, employee demographics, budget reports, etc.
- Maintain and update information in the district's timekeeping program for all employees.
- Maintain the Athletic Department webpage.
- Maintain Athletics website
Other
- Communicate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of the information reported; and resolve payroll problems and inquiries.
- Providing general administrative support such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Exhibit effective communication with all stakeholders such as district employees, vendors, etc.
- Maintain a schedule of appointments and make travel arrangements for department staff.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department staff.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information including payroll information, employee records, and budgetary data.
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Equipment Used:
Copier, calculator, personal computer, printer, and shredder.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions to meet established deadlines. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of a computer.
Works a 212-day calendar.
