Healing To You provides comprehensive medical and mental health services on a large mobile clinic. We are hiring for positions in Orange County. The Medical Assistant is responsible for routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the mobile medical clinic running smoothly. Reports to Medical Provider/Site Coordinator/COO.Additional responsibilities include coordinating clinic patient flow, patient workups, exam room prep, performing basic patient care activities, supervision of minors and driving a vehicle.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs,
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare
- Operate xray, electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Maintain inventory of test kits and submit order supply requests for kits when necessary
- Help provider examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or
- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and
keeping patient information confidential.
- Greet and checkin patients arriving at mobile medical clinic.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED; MA course completion certificate with clinical hours
- Applicable experience in patient care, field supervision, and use of a midsized vehicle.
- 12Lead EKG experience preferred or be willing to train to high proficiency.
- Minimum two years of experience working in an ambulatory clinic/medical office setting
- Possess an ability to function in a high stress, physically demanding setting.
- Knowledge of health care regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality,
- Exemplary customer service experience including patient relationships and job
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision and armhand steadiness
- Ability to be empathetic with patients; ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Analytical Skills: Synthesize complex or diverse information.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully
- Judgment: Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate
- Safety and Security: Observe safety and security procedures, and proper use of
- Bilingual Spanish, Tagalog, Farsi, and/or Chinese preferred.
- If a survivor, at least two years out of the relationship.
This is a full-time position, 36 hours/4 days per week; mobile clinic staff work 3, 10-hour days on the mobile clinic and 6 hours of remote work at home or in office for supervision, meetings, and/or training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Sits, stands, and walks intermittently throughout the day; Squats or kneels and lifts objects from the ground occasionally. Must be able to climb stairs to get in and out of mobile medical clinic. Full extension of arms above head and in front of body. Frequently lifts weights of up to 15 pounds. Occasionally lifts weights of up to 50 pounds. Occasionally carries objects weighing up to 55 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds. Must possess good balance. must be able to walk up stairs on the mobile health clinic and navigate close quarters with colleagues.
Pay:
$24.00 per hour
