Interprets technology by producing drawings and written descriptions for instruction and engineering/production support documentation.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience:
- Desktop Publishing, 3D modeling a plus.
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective communication and writing skills
- Must be detail oriented with ability to multitask
- Effective project and time management skills
- PC computer operational skills
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
- Comprehends technology by observing production and use; interviewing engineers and designers; studying solid models, prints, sketches, drawings, specifications, parts lists, mockups, samples, etc.
- Create component part and assembly models, 3D renderings and concepts as required.
- Prepares illustrations and or rough sketches of material to discuss with Engineering Documentation Manager and making necessary changes.
- Illustrate concepts, assemblies and components by designing and executing drawings, sketches, renderings, prints, charts and graphs.
- Layout stepbystep process of product assembly by designing and executing composition, sketches, rough and finished artwork into working documents.
- Review engineering drawings, designs, renderings, writing and page layout to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Verifies comprehension of technology and composition by testing description and instructions.
- Obtains approval of interpretation by submitting draft to approval.
- Maintains systems and product database structures by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and entering all such data.
- Responsible for meeting completion dates and work schedule adjustments.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
