The Mount Sinai Short-Term Research Training Program invites master's-level graduate students to participate in a short-term research training program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, one of the most innovative teaching and research centers in New York City.
This appointment is for 12 weeks, with a possible re-appointment for up to 24 weeks. Trainees will work with a faculty mentor on a research project related to public health and environmental medicine.Research projects are available in many different disciplines including data science, epidemiology, health communication, molecular biology, genomics, and clinical disciplines, among others.
Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting literature review
- Developing a study design
- Analyzing data
- Drafting a manuscript for peerreviewed journal publication
Job Qualifications:
To apply, you must meet all of the following eligibility criteria (1-4):
- A U.S. citizen, non-citizen national or permanent resident.
- Enrolled in a master's degree program in public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, global health or related fields, or have graduated from a master's program within the past 24 months.
- Available to commit a minimum of 12 weeks on a fulltime basis. There is also a possibility of reappointment (up to 24 weeks total).
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
Applicants will be required to submit academic transcripts, a current resume/CV, a personal statement (1-page maximum), and a statement of past research (1-page maximum).

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
