Graphic Designer


As a Graphic Designer on our team, you will produce vibrant, engaging graphics that communicate our messaging goals, reinforce the committee's visual identity, and support our shared mission to protect and expand our Democratic majority in the Senate.

Team members are passionate about Democratic ideals, follow the news closely, and work well under tight deadlines.

What You'll Do

  • Independently manage and track a wide range of requests and projects from both internal and external stakeholders from concept to completion.
  • Create vibrant, highimpact work for online fundraising and social media that generates engagement from our online audiences.
  • Maintain organizational systems to manage a large collection of design assets for current and future DSCC use.
  • Brainstorm and pitch new creative ideas for digital fundraising, social media graphics, and more.
  • Design and build microsites on occasion.
  • Help maintain the committee's brand and visual identity.
  • Participate in brainstorming discussions around creative strategy for digital fundraising, social media, and other creative projects.
  • Possibly manage interns and train future team members.
  • Every team member should be prepared to step in as necessary with additional duties/coverage as assigned for optimal team functioning.
  • This is not always a 95, M-F job and all team members will be expected to pitch in for rapid response when required.
  • All DSCC staff members including the Graphic Designer may be required to travel to a battleground state for GOTV efforts ahead of Election Day.
About You

  • Professional experience working in graphic design or similar creative role.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • An outofthebox creative thinker and collaborator.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to manage projects with competing priorities and hit tight deadlines.
  • Passion for Democratic ideals and enthusiasm for our shared mission of protecting and expanding the Democratic majority in the Senate.
  • Experience working in Democratic campaigns or committees is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.

This position is based in Washington, DC and will work in the DSCC's Capitol Hill office.
