Description

Duties:


  • Serve as a Senior Security Specialist in the Army Research and Technology Protection Center (ARTPC), supporting the Army's acquisition enterprise efforts to ensure technologies are delivered uncompromised
  • Execute organizational goals and objectives, and recommend modifications to develop new methods, criteria, or proposed new policies in support of Army wide program protection.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a preappointment and periodic basis.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of time.
  • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. (See additonal information)

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with Research and Technology specific to information security. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS13).
  • Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligencerelated security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
