Essential Job Functions

• Review schedule and Job Sheets / Spec Sheets to determine schedule and specifications for products to be produced.
• Follow standard procedures (job sheets, spec sheets) for preparing for the product in knowing Bill of Material, equipment set up, and packaging requirements.
• Ensure the efficient and safe changeovers and startups following standard procedures.
• Monitor product, equipment and process ensuring stability in the process and product.
• Perform quality checks as defined in Work Instructions and Special Instructions on the Job Sheet and Spec Sheet to ensure meeting customer requirements.
• Utilize the help chain for any issues related to safety, quality, equipment, material or process.
• Perform routine production maintenance on equipment as directed by supervisor or established policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and thorough production records to include material usage, downtime, scrap, shippable material and process monitoring.
• Communicate shift performance via shift handoff and log books.
• Ensure all raw materials are staged and supplied to the extrusion line.
• Respond to any call for assistance.
• Communicate and provide direction to packer regarding product being manufactured.
• Complete work requests for equipment issues and submit to maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards on the line.
• Trains packers and new operators.

Experience:

Machine Operator: 2 years (preferred)
