Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, and supervise the performance of the service department including advisors, technicians, BDC, cashiers, etc
- Maintain a high Customer Service Index rating, reduce customer complaints, and increase customer retention
- Manage shop production and schedule to meet pace and budget
- Create work schedule and maintain proper accounting of Service Technicians' productivity
- Distribute work between technicians efficiently
- Ensure that technicians keep their skills current through manufacturer training
- Review and understand manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
- Create goals and objectives for the department, which include an annual operating budget, and a marketing plan to promote new business
- Oversee administration of warranty claims
- Reinforce company policies and adheres to company standards
- Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain good working relationship with factory(s) and foster positive employee relations
Qualifications
- 5 years experience as a Service Director
- Hyundai and CDK experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Fantastic communication skills with your customers
- Professional, wellgroomed personal appearance
- Organized and friendly personality
- Strong record of positive customer satisfaction results
- Team oriented and selfmotivated
- Able to work with little supervision
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
