Responsibilities

Hire, manage, and supervise the performance of the service department including advisors, technicians, BDC, cashiers, etc
Maintain a high Customer Service Index rating, reduce customer complaints, and increase customer retention
Manage shop production and schedule to meet pace and budget
Create work schedule and maintain proper accounting of Service Technicians' productivity
Distribute work between technicians efficiently
Ensure that technicians keep their skills current through manufacturer training
Review and understand manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
Create goals and objectives for the department, which include an annual operating budget, and a marketing plan to promote new business
Oversee administration of warranty claims
Reinforce company policies and adheres to company standards
Encourage compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Maintain good working relationship with factory(s) and foster positive employee relations

Qualifications

5 years experience as a Service Director
Hyundai and CDK experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage others
Fantastic communication skills with your customers
Professional, wellgroomed personal appearance
Organized and friendly personality
Strong record of positive customer satisfaction results
Team oriented and selfmotivated
Able to work with little supervision
Clean driving record and valid driver's license
