Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Contribute to a fun, energized and comfortable working environment as an active member of the Aloft team
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast service in an attractive, standardized and fulllooking manner. Keep area organized and clean, and replenish depleted items
  • Take inventory of food and beverage and supplies needed for each day. Order, communicate needs, or assist with purchase of food supplies.
  • Visually inspect, select and use only the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Read and employ math skills for following recipes.
  • Prepare various food items.
  • Set up serving, utensils, cups and other products.
  • Clear and clean vacated tables.
  • Wash equipment and return it to storage. Return reusable food to storage.
  • Engage with and respond to all guest requests for additional breakfast items, hotel information, directions, and any other assistance.
  • Ensure the proper storage of product, especially of fresh produce and dairy
  • Check on portion control to maintain quality product
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Abilities Required

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Selfstarting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to "pitchin" and help co
- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

  • Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a cart weighing a maximum of 50 lbs., on a continuous schedule.
  • Treat all guests and employees with courtesy and respect
  • Adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job, and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Required Licenses, Permits or Certifications
Employee must have or obtain a Texas Food Handler's Permit prior to beginning employment.
