Our continuum of care offers trauma-informed, behavioral health services to our clients in residential, community and outpatient settings.


The Center for Great Expectations is seeking a compassionate individual to join our START Program team as a Peer Recovery Specialist working with women in the community with substance use disorders in the Newark, NJ area.

As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will directly impact the lives of individuals and families in recovery. You will provide compassionate and trauma-informed support, fostering a safe and healing environment.

This includes offering co-regulation techniques as you engage with individuals at all stages of their recovery journey, providing education and fostering a sense of connection.

You will leverage your own experiences to build trust and understanding, empowering clients to identify and connect with vital social support systems.

You will also assist individuals in areas of prevention of substance use recurrence, recovery maintenance, and aftercare, providing transportation and case management as needed.


Pay:
$25.00 per hour
