Your tasks

For our location in Frankfurt, we are looking for an intern (m/f/diverse) to join us as soon as possible for a minimum of 5 months, with the possibility of continuing as a working student. Your role will be to support the development of driver assistance systems for rail vehicles.

In recent years, the railway industry has become a platform for innovation in the transportation of people and goods. Well-known technologies from the automotive industry are helping to make vehicles safer and drive this development forward. In addition, strategies for energy-efficient operation of vehicles support environmental protection and reduce operating costs.

Your tasks will include the following activities:
  • Mathematical modeling of subsystems of rail vehicles
  • Identification and validation of model parameters
  • Development and simulation of algorithms for energy-efficient operation of rail vehicles
  • Support in the setup and programming of measurement systems
  • Support in measurement campaigns
  • Analyzing, visualizing, and presenting measurement data

Your profile
  • Studies (ideally in a Master's program) in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable field of study
  • Programming skills in Matlab and Python
  • Good knowledge in the field of control
