Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Plating Technician is to perform tasks related to the production of plating products.
Responsibilities❖ Runs plating line and maintains all associated operating records.
❖ Maintains chemistry under the direction of the plating supervisor.
❖Reports chemical usage.
❖ Loads parts onto plating racks.
❖ Facilitates waste haulaways as needed.
❖ Works with wastetreat to perform plating line maintenance
Physical Requirements:
❖Must be able to pick up 50 pounds and carry for a distance.
❖Must have the ability to move/relocate 55 gallon barrels in excess of 300 pounds with the use
of a dolly or forklift.
❖Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and reach at/below shoulder height
frequently.
❖Must be able to continuously ascend and descend stairs/ladders/ramps frequently.
❖Must be able to wear a respirator frequently.
❖Must be able to differentiate colors precisely.
❖Must have normal (correctable) eyesight.
❖Must have normal (correctable) hearing with the ability to hear sirens or warning horns over 70db.
Environmental Requirements:
❖Must be able to work consistently in plating/painting environment where such conditions
may consist of chemical hazards, dust, mist, gas and fumes, with appropriate personal
protective equipment.
❖Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
❖Must be able to be exposed to high noise levels, with appropriate hearing protection when
required.
Situational Requirements:
❖Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others in a team
environment.
❖Must demonstrate flexibility in the work environment in performing a variety of tasks.
❖Must be able to work effectively under stress.
❖Must possess speed, consistency and accuracy in tasks, meeting precise tolerances and standards
Miscellaneous Requirements:
❖Must be able to consistently work a minimum of 8 hour days, 5 days per week.
❖Must have the ability to frequently work longer than the minimum hours per day and days per week to accomplish assigned tasks.
❖Must have consistent means of transportation.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
