$50k-$73k, depending on experience and location

As we approach our 25th anniversary, we are seeking to hire dedicated innovators who share our vision of a family child care workforce that is supported, fairly compensated, and treated equitably.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities of the Prospect Research Associate
include**:
- In coordination with Development leadership, create cultivation plans for All Our Kin major donors and Board members, compile briefing materials for All Our Kin's Chief Executive Officer and other senior leadership staff in advance of conversations with or pitches to donors, etc.-Conduct individual prospect research and outreach strategies
- Communicate directly with donors including confirming and updating donor information
- Assist in the planning, development, and execution of cultivation and fundraising events
- Support Director of Donor Relations and Special Events with donor database management (Blackbaud RE NXT)
- Collaborate with other departments in the organization (e.g. Programs, Technical Assistance, Finance, etc.) to ensure the development team is well positioned to communicate All Our Kin's successes and challenges to funders in a clear, uptodate, and compelling manner as well as identify fundraising opportunities to ensure that ongoing funding needs are met through prospect pipelines
- Provide support with administrative duties and other fundraising activities (compiling attachments for proposals, assisting with mailings, etc.)
- Conduct research on foundations, government RFPs, and corporate opportunities, mapping against All Our Kin's funding needs by program area
- Create prospect research reports for prospect review meetings with development staff and regularly attend major gift team meetings to prioritize prospecting needs.
- Regularly assess and review current prospect moves management; support gift officers in the refreshing and updating of their portfolios
- Oversee Raiser's Edge database process for monitoring and tracking prospects
- Assist with prospect profiles of guests to cultivate at fundraising events and speaking engagements.
Who You AreMust have at least 3 years of work experience in prospect research and portfolio management with a nonprofit or campaign.-Strong experience with CRM software such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or DonorPerfect.- Proficiency with various research techniques, including utilizing computerized databases for traditional periodical-based research, electronic wealth screening tools, general internet searches, and other sources such as foundation 990 forms, court records, real estate records, SEC filings, and census data.
- Ability to thrive in a fastchanging environment while juggling a high volume of work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills and ability to function independently while working in a teamoriented environment.
