As a Metal Shop/Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our metal fabrication facility and warehouse.

This leadership position requires a strong blend of technical expertise in metalworking processes, inventory management skills, and team management capabilities.

You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing all aspects of the metal shop, ensuring the timely production of high-quality metal products, and maintaining an organized and well-managed warehouse.

May operate hand and power tools of all types. May assist other craft workers to complete jobs as per specifications. Keeps warehouse clean and materials ready for next job. Handy with tool repairs. Exemplifies the core values in all aspects of conduct and job performance.


Metal Shop Operations:

• Supervise and lead a team of skilled metalworkers, welders, and fabricators.
• Oversee the production process, ensuring quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret and execute metal fabrication projects.

Inventory Management:

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels.
• Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely and costeffective procurement of raw materials.
• Implement efficient storage practices to maximize warehouse space utilization.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of precise and durable metal products.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address potential issues.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work culture, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Handle employee relations, including performance evaluations and conflict resolution.

Logistics and Shipping:

• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of metal products, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Implement logistics strategies to minimize transportation costs and optimize delivery schedules.
• Load and unload equipment, inventory and tools from trucks
• Ability to work unsupervised to complete construction tasks per the superintendent or job leads instructions
• Drive trucks carrying materials and equipment from warehouse to sites, must have perfect driving record
• Tow Trailers from dumps to jobsites.
• Ensure all work is being done in compliance with company protocols
• Used hand and power tools to cut or shape materials as per instructions

Equipment Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of metalworking equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Schedule regular equipment inspections and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Responsible for all equipment in the warehouse and ensuring safe use.
• Responsible for all GPS tracking of company trucks and proper maintenance

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.
• Generate regular reports on key performance indicators and operational metrics.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
• Exemplifies the core values in all aspects of conduct and job performance

Pay:
$35, $48,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
