Role Insights
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival, obtain necessary demographic and insurance information, and assist them in completing required forms.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient medical records. Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Record and monitor patients' vital signs accurately. This includes blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Assist in collecting and labeling specimens for laboratory testing. Ensure proper handling and preparation for transport.
- Conduct electrocardiogram tests on patients as directed by healthcare providers. Ensure proper calibration and operation of EKG equipment.
- Provide support to medical staff during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments as needed.
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records. Assist with insurance verification and billing procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the efficient operation of the medical office.
Required Skills and Abilities
- 12 years of minimum experience preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in both Korean and English languages, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and colleagues.
