- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and other business functions to provide financial insights and support.
- Understand the specific needs of the America's sales team and tailor financial guidance accordingly.
- Responds to information requests from internal customers and others as assigned.
- Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and narrative results analysis for management.
- Develops and distributes standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting.
- Reviews and analyzes reports in order to verify results.
- Proactively provide timely, insightful, actionable and accurate analysis and recommendations to key internal customers / functional groups based on analysis of key performance metrics.
- Explain variances to budgets/forecasts and identify areas for improvement.
- Track and calculate customer rebates and work with Accounting to accrue the expense.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
- Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
- Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
- Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization. May represent department internally or externally.
- Actions may impact the success of the overall department and/or the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.
- Typically 3 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- Needs to have strong Excel skills.
- SQL experience is a strong plus (candidate will have to learn SQL).
- Familiarity with data and reporting systems is a plus.

As a Commercial Financial Analyst / Financial Analyst II, you will provide critical financial support to various Newark/Farnell business functions, with a primary focus on the America's Sales team.
