Here you can make a differenceAs a plant mechanic at Linde in Schalchen, you work in one of our production halls or, if you are particularly interested in assembly work, on one of the many construction sites in Germany and abroad.

Using technical drawings, sketches, or instructions, you create high-tech equipment and components for large-scale plants or maintain them, such as heat exchangers, tanks, and columns.

At the beginning, you will learn the basic mechanical skills of the profession in the training workshop.

After just a few days, you will operate machines, and in the entire first year of training, you will independently plan and create workpieces and projects.

This is followed by assignments in production and specialist departments, where you can apply and deepen what you have learned.

At the vocational school, you will acquire the theoretical foundations for this. In-house training at Linde allows you to further deepen your knowledge and prepare for exams.

Once you have gained some work experience, further training opportunities such as industrial foreman, craftsman, assembly foreman, or mechanical engineering technician are open to you

3 to 3.5 years
