Posting Summary:


The Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) at Teachers College, Columbia University is seeking a part-time research assistant to support ongoing research.

Primarily, the research assistant will conduct hands-on coding and data analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected from multiple impact evaluations under the supervision of a senior research scientist and/or PI.

He/she should be familiar with STATA, , and Qualtrics.

The research assistant may also organize data sets, arrange and conduct interviews to gather data, and write reports using both quantitative and qualitative data.


Job Summary/Basic Function:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in education or one of the social sciences.
  • Familiarity with conducting educational research or evaluations of a similar nature to CPRE's work.
  • Good writing and general research skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Foundational skills in quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Experience working on an academic research team.

Salary Range:

$3,000 - $4,100
