Allyn International is looking for a full-time Logistics Product Line Analyst in Houston, TX to join our organization Allyn is a privately-held professional services firm established in 1992.

What does our Logistics Product Line Analyst do? The Logistics Product Line Analyst is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction.

The position is responsible for working with BH site locations and collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services, as well as providing logistics support, consulting, shipment processing and obtaining best possible transportation rates.

Work Schedule: 40 hours, 7:00 AM-9:00 AM to 4:00-6:00 PM, Monday-Friday (some weekend / after-hours support may be required)

Position Classification:
Full-Time; Salaried Exempt, Associate-Level


Compensation:
$55,000-$65,000


Physical Demands:
Sitting, typing, walking, and talking on the phone.

Required Experience and Education:


  • Bachelor's or equivalent college degree focus in Logistics preferred
  • International logistics experience preferred: transportation, customs, warehousing, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, political nuances of economic zones
  • Scheduling and critical path management experience preferred

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for coordinating shipments with the plant production
  • Ensures freight is correctly scheduled onto trucks in a timely manner
  • Expedites shipments and provide up to date information to involved parties
  • Coordinate with plant order management, warehousing and packaging and the Houston based logistics control tower
  • Coordinate with Sourcing procurement of material to ship to sites
  • Issue resolution and shipment responsibility
  • Actively use either Allyn's proprietary software or use the software chosen per the client
  • Accurately issue shipping documentation such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance
  • Reliably track and expedite progress of specialized shipments
  • Capture all costs associated with a shipment including:
  • Actively look for an capture savings opportunities and added value opportunities when possible
  • Actively participate in team meetings, conference calls, and daily project management calls with Allyn team and with the client
  • Eliminate or minimize risk exposure for Allyn and customers
  • Maintain online tracking and metrics tools
  • Track and resolve freight claims
  • Provide excellent customer service to Allyn customers
