Building Automation Technicians (BAS)

Technician Pay:

$20-40/hr ($40,000-$80,000/year)


Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with potential opportunities & requirements for overtime.


Drug Test:
Yes (marijuana included)

Technician Duties:


  • Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory, as well as the ability to create & modify program algorithms for multiple systems.
  • Communicate with all levels of the contracting chain to declare installation schedule, milestone updates, job progress, commissioning, and closeout/acceptance plan.
  • Track and forecast labor and material spent on projects assigned and adhere to estimates.
  • Identify potential field changes, communicate changes to customer and project manager, and assist in cost estimates for change orders. Generate and submit extra work orders for noncontracted work done.
  • Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated frontend graphical user interface.
  • Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
  • Perform service repairs, adjustments and calibration on building systems.
  • Coordinate and perform customer training and ensure timely completion of project closeout documents.
  • Provide technical support and direction to endusers and employees when applicable.

Pay:
$ $40.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (required)

  • DDC systems: 3 years (required)
  • HVAC design: 3 years (required)
  • HVAC: 3 years (required)
  • Electrical systems: 3 years (required)
  • HVAC/R: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

  • HVAC Certification (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Houston, TX (required)

Ability to Relocate:
