Job Summary:

Mesa Community College has been awarded a Title V Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (DHSI) grant for a 5-year period.

The Students & Employees Nurtured & Developed for Academic Success (SENDAS) Project aims to enhance and integrate student support; create a robust professional development program for faculty and staff; and develop a more inclusive hiring process.

This grant-funded position will focus primarily on STEM and Computer Science programs of study and will be responsible for coordinating student preparation and persistence efforts to narrow the gap of attrition and improve overall student success.

The coordinator will work with college and grant personnel to meet the SENDAS activity objectives and goals in a timely manner.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating academic preparation boot camps for STEM and computer science courses and the implementation of academic support interventions to support students throughout the school year.


Essential Functions:

40% - Under the supervision of the director, coordinates student persistence and success efforts for STEM and Computer Science students; formulates research based decisions regarding the development of programs and services; assists in the planning
