Job Title: Group Facilitator

Job Overview:

The Group Facilitator will lead therapeutic group sessions during evening programming in the Outpatient Program. They'll work closely with individuals facing substance use and mental health disorders, offering guidance, support, and education to aid in recovery and well-being. It's crucial for the Group Facilitator to implement evidence-based practices and team up with the clinical staff to establish a nurturing environment that fosters healing and personal development.

**Flexible hours required for this position (both day and evening)**

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and lead therapeutic group sessions for clients dealing with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
Work with the clinical team to create group curricula and customized treatment plans based on clients' individual needs.
Use evidence-based interventions and methodologies to address addiction, mental health, and recovery issues.
Offer psychoeducation on various topics like coping mechanisms, relapse prevention, stress management, and building interpersonal relationships.
Create a safe and supportive environment within the group, encouraging open dialogue and mutual respect among participants.
Monitor group dynamics and individual progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet clients' changing requirements.
Record client attendance, participation, and progress following program protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment planning and coordinated care.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of group facilitation and client engagement.
Engage in regular supervision, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to enhance expertise and capabilities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Preferably certified or licensed as a counselor, social worker, or a relevant mental health professional.
Prior experience in leading group therapy sessions within a behavioral health or substance use treatment environment is a bonus.
Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, evidence-based interventions, and recovery-oriented practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity towards individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to continuous professional development and self-care practices.

Work Environment: The Group Facilitator will operate in an outpatient setting, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver comprehensive care to clients with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. The role will entail evening shifts to accommodate client schedules. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor or Executive Director, the Group Facilitator will have prospects for growth and advancement within the organization.
