Job Qualifications- Current RDA is mandatory
- BLS certification
- Team Player
- Organized and Multitask abilities
- Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus, however we will interview driven new assistants.
- Teamwork oriented personality
- Detail oriented in work ethic
- Good language skills (English proficiency is mandatory, Spanish fluency is a plus), able to communicate effectively with patients and doctors
Job Description (not comprehensive):
Preoperative Preparation:
- Set up and prepare surgical tray, instruments, and equipment.
- Assist in sterilization procedures
- Greet and prepare patients for surgery, addressing any concerns or questions.
Intraoperative Support:
- Provide assistance during dental surgeries.
- Pass instruments and materials to the oral surgeon as needed.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Set up and monitor IV sedation under the direction of the oral surgeon.
Postoperative Care:
- Assist in postoperative care and instructions for patients.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures.
- Manage and update patient records accurately.
