    Description
    OUTSIDE SALES MANAGER

    An outside sales manager in the metals industry is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the company's outside sales team. This may include setting sales targets and goals, developing sales strategies, and providing support and guidance to the sales team. The outside sales manager is also responsible for managing relationships with key customers and identifying new business opportunities.

    Typical duties of an outside sales manager in the metals industry include:
    • Developing and implementing sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
    • Monitoring and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Providing support and guidance to the outside sales team to help them achieve their sales goals
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and identifying new business opportunities
    • Collaborating with the production team to ensure that orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
    • Providing product information and technical support to customers
    • Attending industry events and trade shows to network and promote the company's products and services
    To be successful in an outside sales manager job in the metals industry, you should have a strong understanding of the products and services offered by the company, as well as knowledge of the metals industry as a whole. You should also have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and manage a team of outside sales representatives. Experience in sales, particularly in the metals industry, is also important for this role.
