Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of the estimating process for the projects in which they are assigned.
- Must have experience reading and interpreting construction plans. Familiarity with landscape/civil/site and hardscape elements of project.
- Understanding of scope requirements for a complete bid package.
- Project documentation management including RFI's and submittals.
- Prepare Takeoffs and itemized bids in software packages.
- Independently track bid proposals from subcontractors or specified vendors.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals and ensure inclusion of all required items.
- Assemble project scope into final proposal and contract document.
- Upon award of the project, create a turnover package for the Project Management Department.
- Strong followup skills
- Presenting bid and sales funnel on weekly basis
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' experience in Commercial Landscape/Building/Site Construction Experience.
- 5+ years' experience in construction Cost Estimating of projects of various sizes, from $25,000 to $1,000,000
- Ability to quickly read and understand blueprints/plans.
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft office. Strong Excel knowledge is required.
- Ability to work with a high volume of work within tight deadlines and thrive under pressure.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Consistently meets deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with new and current clients.
- Be familiar with and or have an aptitude to learn quickly Aspire Estimating, Stack Take-Off and all construction lead sources.
- Exceptional followup and client relationship management skills required.
