Wayne currently has an opening for a
Global Pharmaceutical Account Manager
Our Brenntag Pharma Americas division builds the link between Raw Material suppliers and Pharmaceutical customers and manages the Distribution of APIs, Excipients, Intermediates, as well as base chemicals with Value-Added Services.
We actively listen to our partners needs and add value with our customized solutions, acting as a one-stop-shop for the pharmaceutical industry.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will lead Brenntag's relationship with our largest pharmaceutical customers at a global level.
You will create and develop projects that can be implemented and coordinated through the local teams to achieve Brenntag's overall financial goals.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To engage with assigned customers on a global level, and to build a detailed understanding of the customers organization, operations, culture, capabilities, and strategy globally
- Create and implement a global strategy/plan for your accounts incorporating and in line with Brenntag global strategy for the Pharmaceutical industry
- Engage the customer in global projects that cover all functions of our business, be that commercial, operations, value added services, quality, legal and/or any others that adds value to the customer relationship.
- To coordinate and manager global projects, utilizing local expertise and knowledge in the regional structure to best present Brenntag as a global partner.
- To engage customers at a technical level, and where needed involve appropriate technical experts from within Brenntag's wider Pharmaceutical team (TSM and IMM for example).
- To monitor and appraise the wider Pharmaceutical marketplace for companies who may present opportunity and warrant consideration for future GPA status, including competition swot.
YOUR PROFILE:
Qualifications and Skills
- Education in relevant life science or commercial disciplines
- Significant experience and proven success in account management, or key account management within the life science sector. Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical or Chemical sectors preferable
- Experience and success in significant commercial project management
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, selfmotivated and innovative
- Able to communicate in English, both spoken and written; local language beneficial
- Willing to undertake significant global travel
