- Operate RDS System and brine flume to maintain temperature and salinity.
- Report brine system, string extruders and brine chiller issues to production and maintenance department.
- Setup and inspect work area for cleanliness and readiness.
- Operate string cutters and frequently monitor extruded cheese to ensure proper weight and length specifications.
- Maintain and document daily cutter operations log.
- Communicate with packaging department about products and product flow.
- Communicate with production about products, product flow, product quality and/or concerns.
- Communicate with lab tech, maintaining proper product size.
- Work with sanitation to disassemble mixers, mixer pipes, string extruders and storage of endoftheday product.
- Add salt to the brine system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) preferred
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.
- Ability to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.
- Ability to occasionally lift 1080 lbs.
