Gravure Ink, a Patrick Industries company, is hiring an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join our Team In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the plant floor while increasing production and revenue.

In this role, you will oversee daily operations, reports, and increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic plans.


Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will focus on the day-to-day manufacturing operations for the growing facility.

Through empowerment, teamwork, on-the-job assignments, and continuous improvement projects and initiatives you will develop and support your team.


Supervision:


  • Manage, lead, train and mentor Supervisors and Group Leaders throughout the Division
  • Resolve daytoday complications in scheduling changes, absenteeism, equipment breakdowns, and personnel flexing requirement
  • Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate Team Members, monitor and evaluate performance; counsels, document actions and discipline as appropriate
  • Responsible for hiring, staffing and retaining an engaged workforce
  • Resolve daytoday complications in scheduling changes, absenteeism, equipment breakdowns, and personnel flexing requirement

Continuous Improvement and Environmental, Health and Safety:

  • Supports Continuous Improvement by identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve product/process and/or improve overall operations
  • Provide leadership in the growth and maturation of the continuous improvement culture through training, mentoring, and facilitating Kaizen Events
  • Help set continuous improvement initiatives to drive short and longterm improvements
  • Create corrective action plans to outline, correct and resolve quality and efficiency issues
  • Support performance of continuous improvement initiatives, actions, and crossfunctional activities
  • Serve as communication link between management and employees by keeping all Team Members informed of EHS related matters, developing programs, and helping resolve EHSrelated concerns, while promoting a culture of safety and heighten safety awareness
  • Effectively develop, implement and lead Emergency Response plans
  • Ensures communication, training and running operations is in compliance with local, state and federal laws and EHS standards

Additional Functions:


  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all processes and production equipment throughout Division
  • Learn and understand systems and procedures including safety, quality control, customer satisfaction, environmental compliance, employee payroll, production reporting, plant metrics, maintenance, etc.
  • Daytoday operations and is responsible to achieve productivity, efficiency, schedule attainment, orderfulfillment (CRD), customer service, cost, quality, and safety objectives through both individual and team contributions
  • Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and ontime shipping
  • Assumes ultimate responsibility for the quality of products produced and shipped to Customers
  • Creates production schedule and directs production activities to meet sales objectives at maximum efficiency and minimum cost

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field preferred but equivalent combination of experience will be considered
  • Must have previous experience in manufacturing
  • 5+ years' work experience that shows progressive movement, with 2+ years' demonstrated ability at a leadership level in a fast paced environment as a Supervisor or Plant Manager
  • Experience with Printing Press Machinery is highly desired
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Ability to demonstrate high performance leadership standards and builds/develops highperformance teams
  • Strong desire to train and coach others to improve performance
  • Developed reasoning/problem solving skills
  • Strong accountability and followthrough skills
  • Strong tact and diplomacy; ability to work effectively with staff on all levels
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Propositions is preferred
  • A high level of personal integrity (selfesteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
  • Selfmotivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities and the ability to adapt
  • Facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
