    Job Description:
    The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Project Manager to join the team at our Missile Solutions Headquarters site located in Huntsville, AL.


    Essential Functions:

    70% - Effective execution of responsible project(s):


    Responsible for effectively utilizing functional organizations to integrate research and development, production, quality assurance, test, production support, procurement, contractual and financial data under the immediate guidance of the Program Manager.

    Collaborate with all functions to ensure on-time execute.

    Ensure timely submittal of all customer data submittals.

    Utilize earned value management to manage project establishing earned value baseline.

    10% - Control/Cost Account Management (CAM) - Responsible for schedule and cost variance analysis.

    Effectively communicate schedule & budget to functional organizations Perform variance reviews and implement corrective actions as required to ensure effective earned value & programmatic controls.

    5% - Prepare presentations and lead teams in presentations to peers, customers, and managers.

    5% - Support proposals for various program needs. Collaborate with program team to define scope. Provide Basis of Estimate (BOE) and manufacturing section of proposals.

    5% - Travel to customers and suppliers to support program objectives.

    5% - Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


    Qualifications:
    Requires strong knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management. Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.


    Preferred Additional Skills:
    Aerospace or defense development experience

    Direct experience of solid rocket programs

    Project Management Institute (PMI) certification, PMP certification or Project Management certificate

    Knowledge of project management within the framework of the Project Management Institute including Project Planning, Project Control (Earned Value), Project Execution, Communication, Procurement, and Quality

    Demonstrated ability in team building and leadership skills to achieve project objectives

    Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously

    Ability to communicate with teammates, managers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner


    Proficient in the use of all the basic MS Office tools and therefore be proficient in computer operating systems, MS Outlook, MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), MS PowerPoint (presentations, storyboard development, logic diagrams), MS Visio (business diagrams and sketches), and MS Word (tables, program plans).

    Proficiency to also include setting up Integrated Master Schedules using knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling tool to create extensive project files for large-size projects

    Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

    Innovative thinking abilities who can challenge existing systems in order to create bold, inventive solutions that enhance efficiency within development and production projects
