***A Medical Receptionist / Medial Records Clerk is responsible for interacting with guests in a healthcare setting and executing administrative tasks for the medical team. Their duties include greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone, explaining intake forms to new patients, processing payments before/after treatment, and managing patients' health records and history.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the confidentiality, security, and physical condition of medical records.
- Assist patients with information necessary to pay all medical charges.
- Greet and attend to patients in person.
- Answer, forward, and screen all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders for supplies.
- Assist intake patients for surgery.
- Assist with emergency procedure as required.
- Maintain and increase standards of performance and education.
- Participate in inservice education programs, additional training, orientation, and staff development programs.
- Work well under pressure.
- Accurately follow verbal and written directions/directives from supervisors.
- Be an ambassador for Pinnacle Surgery Center of Austin.
- Adhere to the Policies and Procedures of the surgery center.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to complete.
- Two years of experience and a demonstrated knowledge of front desk operations.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly ambulatory surgery centers and medical offices, a plus.
- Working knowledge of medical insurance billing/verification, a plus.
